Invite and Manage Users

Complete guide for the user invitation process including two-factor authentication and organization management.

Invitation Process Flow:

  • Step 1: User receives invitation email with a unique invitation link
  • Step 2: User registers by creating an account (see registration documentation)
  • Step 3: User enters 2FA code (or sets up 2FA if not already configured)
  • Step 4: User accesses the correct organization

Invite New Users:

  1. Open the "User" section in the NavBar.
  2. Click on "Invite User".
  3. Add the User Email Address and Role of the User.
  4. The user receives the invitation email with a unique link (expires in 72 hours).

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA):

2FA is mandatory for all SimpleT users for security purposes.
For users who already have 2FA configured:
  • Simply enter the 6-digit code from your Google Authenticator app
For new users setting up 2FA:
  1. Choose Google Authenticator - Select Google Authenticator as your 2FA method
  2. Scan QR code - Open Google Authenticator app on your mobile device and scan the QR code displayed
  3. Enter verification code - Input the 6-digit code shown in your Google Authenticator app
  4. Complete 2FA setup - Confirm and finalize the 2FA configuration

Accessing the Correct Organization:

Users can belong to multiple organizations simultaneously.
  1. Check current organization - After logging in, verify the organization name in the top right corner of the screen
  2. If incorrect organization - Click on the invitation link again from the original email
  3. Change organization manually - Alternatively, click on the organization name in the top right corner to open the organization dropdown menu
  4. Select correct organization - Choose the appropriate organization from the dropdown list

Troubleshooting:

  • Invalid invitation link - Contact the person who sent the invitation or SimpleT support
  • 2FA issues - Ensure your device's time is synchronized and try again, or contact support
  • Organization access problems - Verify you've been invited to the correct organization by checking with the administrator

Important Notes:

  • The invitation link expires after 72 hours
  • 2FA is mandatory for all SimpleT users for security purposes
  • Users can belong to multiple organizations simultaneously
  • If user's email is not available, they will be redirected to the register page directly instead of login page on invite link
